Warming and burning are different
Direct burning creates flame, smoke and ash. Gentle warming uses lower indirect heat to release aroma gradually. Tirepoak aromatic wood is intended for a purpose-designed botanical warmer and should not be ignited.
Start with less
Place a small, even amount in the removable vessel. Give the warmer time before adding more. Room size, airflow, temperature and natural variation all affect the experience.
Stay present
Place the warmer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface with generous clearance. Keep it away from children, pets, drafts and combustible materials. Never leave the tea light or warmer unattended.
Watch the material
If the wood darkens rapidly, smokes, ignites or smells scorched, extinguish the tea light and allow everything to cool. Never add liquid to a hot vessel and never move a lit or hot warmer.
Finish safely
Extinguish the tea light, leave the warmer undisturbed, and wait until every component is completely cool. Clean with a soft, dry cloth and store unused wood sealed in a cool, dry place.
