A warmer remains visible between uses, so begin with its setting. Measure the surface, allow generous open clearance, and consider everyday movement around the room.
Choose a non-electric form
Tirepoak warmers use one standard unscented tea light and require continuous flame supervision. Compare the footprint, vessel depth, ventilation openings, and the amount of clearance each form needs.
Look at the vessel
The removable vessel should be easy to inspect after every use. Begin with a small amount of suitable aromatic wood and never allow flame to touch the wood.
Choose a useful proportion
Taller forms create a vertical focal point, while low forms sit quietly on a console or table. Always use a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.

- Dimensions fit the intended surface
- The base is stable and level
- Ventilation openings remain unobstructed
- The vessel can be removed and inspected
- Children, pets, drafts, shelves, curtains and combustibles are kept clear
Never leave an open flame unattended. Allow the warmer to cool completely before handling or cleaning.
